About Us

carer suport worker providing respite activityCarers Trust Thames has been operating in this area since 1980. Today the charity works in South Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Ealing.

We are proud of our roots as a charity founded to support unpaid carers, relieving the stresses and strains that they experience through caring for their family, friends and neighbours. We are part of the Carers Trust national network, the UK’s largest charity supporting carers.

Our charity still provides respite breaks for carers, but because the families we support also require many other services, we have expanded our remit to include care at home, information, advice and peer support activities, Live In Care, group activities and specialist services.

We support adults and children of all ages, from 3 to 103 at the moment, with a wide range of disabilities and health conditions. We offer a person-centred approach that is flexible to the needs of the client, promoting their independence and choice. Many of our services are free for the customer – funded by social care contracts or budgets or grants – however we also support people funding their own care.

We employ around 165 staff- find out about our team here.

We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission, and you can find out more about our latest inspection results below.
