Senior Care Practitioners

Senior Care Practitioners are required to provide care in our clients’ homes for part of the week and take on additional tasks including staff spot checks and client reviews and assessments the rest of the time. If you are experienced in care work, reliable, enthusiastic, IT literate and would like to help make a difference to vulnerable and disabled people in your community, then we would love to hear from you.

You should have a positive attitude, a willingness to develop your skills and be comfortable carrying out personal care. Good interpersonal, speaking and writing skills are essential as you will be dealing with a variety of age groups, disabilities and social and ethnic backgrounds.

You must work a minimum of 16 hours a week, and be available during some office hours. Successful candidates will also need to be available to work 2 evenings or early mornings per week and to cover some weekend shifts on a rota. You will need to have your own transport.

Pay ranges from £8.73 to £13.00 depending on what tasks you are doing, qualifications and hours worked, plus mileage. Hourly rate for your Senior Care Practitioner duties is £9.20 if you have an NVQ/Diploma Level 2 or equivalent in health and social care, and £9.67 if you have Level 3. We provide a full induction programme and pay for your DBS and equipment.
