Fundraise

Have you got an idea that you think could raise money for Carers Trust Thames?

Contact us to tell us all about it. We’d love hear what you have in mind, and we can offer some tips and advice on how to go about making your event a success. We can also send you some fundraising materials to help you such as balloons, posters, sponsorship forms and collection tins.

Stuck for ideas? Here are a few suggestions to get you started:

Organise a quiz night at your local pub

This is a great way to raise awareness in your community as well as fundraise. Remember to promote the event well in advance to get a good turnout on the day. You may find that your local pub already organises a regular quiz. If so, why not contact the quiz master and ask if they could donate a percentage of their profits to Carers Trust Thames?

Bag packing or collecting at your local supermarket

You can always get a few friends and family members involved to help out or work in shifts. Just let us know how many collection tins you’ll need, and remember to get permission from the store manager for this activity.

Non-uniform day/dress down day

A really simple way to raise some cash for Carers Trust Thames. Just contact your child’s school or your workplace to organise a suitable date and charge people a small fee on the day.

Bake Sales

Another good idea for the workplace – everyone loves a bake sale! You could make both sweet and savoury treats to mix it up a bit. Give it a go and see how well some sausage rolls or cheese straws go down.

Film, karaoke or games night

There are lots of fundraising activities that you can do from the comfort of your own home. Why not transform your living room into a cinema, karaoke bar or games room for an evening? Invite all of your friends and family and ask for a small donation to join in the fun.

Whatever you decide on don’t forget to let us know – we’d love to support your fundraising.
