Leave a Legacy

leavealegacyThank you for considering leaving a legacy to Carers Trust Thames in your Will. Your gift will have a positive impact on carers and the people they care for across Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and West London.

The kind of gifts you can leave

A share of your estate, or ‘Residuary Legacy’: Once you know what you want to leave to family and friends, you can donate a share of what is left to Carers Trust Thames.

A cash gift, or ‘Pecuniary Legacy’: If you want to leave a lump sum to Carers Trust Thames, you can specify this amount in your Will.

A specific gift: This could be an item of jewellery, an antique, a property or any other item that you think could be of value to Carers Trust Thames when sold.

You may decide to add a gift to Carers Trust Thames to your existing Will. To do this you can use a codicil. Adding a codicil to your Will means there is no need to change the terms of your current Will – it just adds a new instruction. You can download the Codicil Form here!

If you have any questions around writing a codicil or writing or updating your Will, you should seek advice from a solicitor or other professional adviser. However you can find some general advice on the Carers Trust website.
